本论文对基于olam的可视化数据挖掘技术做了比较深入的研究，主要包括对数据挖掘可视化的概念、应用、分类和方法进行了归纳总结；深入而详细地研究了olam引擎的结构和实现机制，并设计了一个基于olam可视化数据挖掘的系统的模型结构，提出从数据仓库到数据的可视化展现需要经过数据挖掘、数据转换、可视化过滤和可视化展现四个步骤；针对本论文的课题背景，实现了基于olam可视化数据挖掘系统原型的可视化展现工具包，包括14个可视化组件，能用于证券、电信、银行等部门数据的可视化；最后，还对关联规则的可视化展现进行了研究，并用可视化展现包中的组件和类将其实现。
