The taboo - search algorithm and the ordinary genetic algorithm are combined in this paper and the new algorithm is named taboo - genetic algorithm . the new algorithm is applied into the matching search of domain and range in fractal image coding . the result shows that the coding time is decreased greatly when the compression ration and the peak signal and noise ration do not decline 后来把禁忌搜索算法与简单遗传算法相结合，提出了一种新的禁忌搜索遗传算法，并应用于分形图像压缩编码的定义域、值域匹配搜索，从而在不降低峰值信噪比和压缩比的情况下极大地改善了分形图像压缩编码的速度。
