为全面真实了解东北边远地区学生心理健康现状，正确认识存在问题，从而积极、科学地开展心理健康教育，采用调查法、文献法、行为研究法、比较法及经验总结等方法，在分析总结国内心理健康教育工作发展趋势和存在问题的基础上，对某地区市、县、乡各级各类学校小学四年级至高中三年级共4451名学生的心理健康状况进行了调查分析；同时，对影响中小学生心理健康的环境因素(学校工作状况，教师心理素质情况，家庭环境等)进行了辅助调查，并结合工作实践，对区域性、具有针对性、实效性的干预策略进行了论证。
