While i was leaving lan - yu on the boat , i looked out at the waves on the ocean and i was so touched by the beautiful patterns being created , and then it occurred to me that the ocean is like a great canvas for a painter ' s brush , and at every second , there is a new and endlessly changing painting upon this great canvass of the sea . . . and in the millions and millions of years that this earth has existed , no painting upon this ocean ' s canvas has ever been exactly the same . . . just like snowflakes , this beautiful painting will forever be changing
在我乘船离开兰屿的时候，我放眼海上波浪，海上生生不息瞬息变化的漂亮花纹，让我感动不已，我忽然觉得海洋好像一片无垠的作画大帆布，分分秒秒创造著无尽的作画变化…而地球创造以来的亿亿万万年当中，这片海洋帆布上的作画不曾有一刻的完全重复…就彷佛雪花结晶，这片美丽图画永远无尽地变化。
