金箍 meaning in English

When we see the monkey king tricked into wearing a golden ring on his head by the quan yin bodhisattva , we may think , " why is it that the bodhisattva has no mercy ?
我们看到孙悟空被观音菩萨骗，把金箍圈套在他头上。有可能我们会想：观音菩萨怎么没慈悲心？
But if she didn t do this , there would be no way to control him . the quan yin bodhisattva wanted to teach him and help him . so she had to give him this golden ring
不过不这么做就没办法控制他，观音菩萨为了要教育他帮忙他，应该给他这个金箍圈，不然他没办法改自己的个性，也没办法修成什么果位。
