This article , from the points of principles , guidelines , needs analysis and utility in teaching materials preparing , after analyzing the writings of recent five years in get band iv & band vi , the english tests for the entrance examination to master degree as well ; and analyzing the needs of students , teachers and the society , points out the shortcomings in the compilation of writings in 21 ( superscript st ) century college english ( reading and writing ) and puts forward the author ' s own suggestions
本文从教材编写中的原则、需求分析和实用性角度，在分析了最近5年大学英语四、六级考试及硕士研究生入学考试英语作文题和学生、教师、社会的需求后，指出了川北医学院目前使用的《 21世纪大学英语读写教程》编写的不足并提出了自己的建议。
