本研究旨在通过对1986年? 2001年我国高校发明专利、实用新型、外观设计的申请受理与授权情况的分析，并且与其他行业的比较；通过研究我国高校专利申请与高校研发人员数、 r & d成果应用及科技服务人员数、科研经费投入、高校专利转让、研究与发展课题数、科技成果获奖数的关系；通过对中南大学547名教学、科研、党政管理、教辅人员的产权知识、专利知识、专利意识、专利行为的问卷调查(共32题) ，并用单因素分析法、多元逐步回归分析法和线性相关分析法，对中南大学在职人员各研究因素与产权知识、专利知识、专利意识、专利行为的统计分析，寻找出制约我国高校专利申请、授权、成果转让的因素，提出加速发展我国高校专利工作步伐的对策。
