In cases where a minor under the age of 18 commits a crime , if the accused does not entrust his defense to a lawyer , people ' s court shall appoint one for him
对于开庭时未满十八周岁的被告人，若没有委托辩护人也没有申请法律援助的，人民法院应为其指定辩护人。
If people ' s court determines to appoint another defender for the juvenile defendant in accordance with the above item , it shall send a letter to inform the legal aid institutions where this appointment is made within three days from the date of decision
人民法院根据前款规定决定为未成年被告人另行指定辩护人的，应当在决定志日期3日内函告做出指派的法律援助机构。
