本文以解决实际应用中的gps数据采集和处理问题为目标，将掌上电脑与gps相结合，利用掌上电脑轻巧便携、通讯能力强等特点，开发基于掌上电脑的gps数据采集器，实现采集处理数据、定位、导航、存储等功能，代替笔记本电脑和gps接收机手簿工作，将操作人员从负荷中解放出来。
