该钻机采用曲柄连杆、游梁式冲击机构，使钻机具有两种冲击功能;正常钻进以连杆冲击为主，遇到特殊情况，用连杆冲击不能钻进时，可转为卷扬冲击，冲程可调，因连杆冲击机构连续工作，所以实现了自动冲击钻进，可提高钻进效率，减轻劳动强度;采用泵吸反循环的方式排渣，既能有效解决卵砾石地层、坚硬地层等特殊地层钻进的困难，又很好地解决了冲击钻机效率低下的问题;采用直齿圆柱齿轮差速机构作为主卷扬的双筒同步机构，既保证了钻具处于平衡状态，又大大简化了该机构设计，降低了成本;该钻机底盘行走移位采用步履式;钻塔采用液压起立，减少了辅助作业时间。
