本文提出的自适应调制方案首先设计各种信道衰落和信噪比条件下的最优信道编码，再设计一种能够完成这些信道编码解码的自适应编码解码器；接收机不断估计信道的衰落程度和噪声功率，并通过反向信道反馈给发射机；发射机据此选用最适合当前信道的信道编码，实现自适应。
